Welcome to the Clear Conscience Soap Company, Australia. We make the most natural bath and beauty products that improve the appearance of your skin, and keep you free from chemicals that don’t belong on or in your body. All Clear Conscience Soap Co. products are biodegradable and safe for greywater systems, and are not tested on animals.

Handmade with love, every Clear Conscience product is unique like a piece of art. The beauty of making cosmetics in small batches is that we don’t need to store large amounts of cosmetics for long periods of time – we can use natural preservatives.

Women have been using natural remedies successfully for centuries. In ancient times, herbalism was mixed with magic and superstition. Today, with our scientific methods we can determine what is superstition and what is fact. Many traditionally used herbs have been put to the scientific test and many have proven to possess remarkable skin benefits. These are the natural ingredients we use at Clear Conscience Soap Co.

Synthetic fragrance (phthalates) have been linked to early puberty in girls which is a risk factor for later-life breast cancer. Preservatives(parabens) can affect the thyroid hormones and may disrupt normal breast development. Antibacterial cleansers (triclosan) contribute to bacterial resistance – super bugs – and have been found in biopsy samples from breast tumors. These common cosmetic ingredients can be found in most commercial beauty products. Clear Conscience Soap Co. don’t use ingredients that have even remotely been linked to cancer.

Many people are surprised to learn that lots of big name products on our supermarket shelves and in our department store cosmetic counters have been tested on animals. Animals Australia list over 100 cosmetics and personal care brands who are currently testing on animals on their website. Millions of rabbits, dogs, cats, mice and other animals are burned, poisoned and killed in painful and unnecessary tests each year for the sake of cosmetics and toiletries.

Wastewater from the shower is basically recycled. Once it’s cleaned and filtered at the treatment plant, it goes back into our rivers and oceans. The treatment plant removes solids and is disinfected, but some of the chemicals remain. Among these chemicals are those that are harmful to fish and other sea life. These chemicals are in synthetic fragrance and antibacterial agent triclosan. Clear Conscience Soap Co. does not use synthetic fragrance or triclosan.
